TWO POSITIONS CONCRETE.

Marcello Morandini and Peter Weber

Exhibition from May 15th to June 28th, 2025

Vernissage: May 15th, 6 to 8 pm
Matinee: May 17th, 12 to 4 pm

Marcello Morandini's work moves between the two poles of black and white, their beauty is revealed solely through form, "like calligraphy on paper that requires no additional color values for reading and understanding." (M. Morandini)
His geometric design language and strict two-tone design do not stand for simplification, but rather for clear complexity.

In 2015, we were able to show Morandini's artistic work for the first time in our group exhibition “Black and White II”. We are all the more pleased that we can now present his work more extensively and at the same time celebrate his 85th birthday with him in our space on May 15, 2025.

The “Duo” exhibition with his German colleague Peter Weber, whose strict folds also allow no compromises, will show how complexity of thought in the design of a work of art can lead to a convincing oeuvre.

During the opening evening, Peter Weber will fold a printed motif by Morandini in his own unique way according to the given coordinates of the work “593A” from 2012 and present the surprising result to an audience that is sure to be amazed.
