Horst Linn was born in 1936 in Friedrichsthal/Saar, Germany. He lives and works in Dortmund, Germany.
The usually canted folds of the sculptor’s work follow strict Concrete-Constructivist laws. Whether the early folds of corrugated sheet iron or the later wall reliefs made of folded aluminum steel or sheet metal, usually lacquered – all of his work is based on the principle “less is more” and thus fulfil the demands of a Mies van der Rohe.
