Horst Linn wurde 1938 in Friedrichsthal/Saar geboren. Er lebt und arbeitet in Dortmund.

Die zumeist gekanteten Faltungen des Bildhauers Horst Linn unterliegen strengen konkret-konstruktiven Gesetzmäßigkeiten. Ob nun die frühen Wellblech-Faltungen oder die jüngeren Wandreliefs aus gefaltetem Aluminium oder Stahlblech, zumeist lackiert – alle Arbeiten sind dem Vorsatz “weniger ist mehr” verpflichtet und erfüllen so die große Forderung eines Mies van der Rohe.
